Membership Assistant – Marketing & Communication

Work at the Intersection of Collaboration, Science, and Communication Strategy

ECCSEL ERIC is an exciting ecosystem involving Ministries, Research Institutes, and Industry Stakeholders. But a network is only as strong as the people connecting it. We are looking for a true team player to serve as the central hub of our operations.

You will be a vital link in the collaboration between our research institutes and partners. One moment you are coordinating governance meetings with national representatives; the next, you are running a LinkedIn campaign about our newest facility to help grow the ECCSEL network. This is the perfect role for a communication pro who loves structure—or an admin pro who loves storytelling.

" In this role, you will be at the very center of ECCSEL. You will be a part of my team, navigating the complex landscape where European politics, research, and industry meet. It is a position where organisation meets diplomacy—and where your ability to communicate our mission is just as vital as your ability to support the coordination of our network of members.”
— Klaus Tobias Mosbacher, Executive Director of ECCSEL ERIC

What you will do

  • Connect: Facilitate interactions and support collaboration with member ministries, national representatives, and research institutes.

  • Communicate: Manage our external face—website updates, newsletters, and social media content —to ensure our mission reaches the right audience.

  • Coordinate: Provide direct administrative support to the Operational Centre to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Who you are

  • Education: You have a degree in Communication, Administration, Public Relations, or Social Sciences. A background in energy, research, natural sciences, or the environment is a distinct advantage.

  • Experience: You have experience in admin support, coordination, or marketing roles.

  • Skills: You are organized and structured, but also creative enough to craft compelling text.

  • Mindset: You thrive in international environments, are service-minded, and have excellent English skills.

Why ECCSEL? (What we offer you)

  • Exposure: You will work directly with our operational team and our network across our member countries.  It’s a masterclass in international relations and research communication.

  • Variety: No two days are the same. You will switch between strategic governance tasks and creative marketing.

  • The Environment: Based in Trondheim, you will work in an international, English-speaking environment where your voice is heard and your contribution matters.

The Practicalities

  • Language: English is our working language. Proficiency in Norwegian is an advantage.

  • Benefits: Excellent pension and insurance schemes, flexible working hours.

  • Location: Trondheim, Norway’s vibrant technology and student capital. Enjoy easy access to nature, a thriving city vibe, and the famous Scandinavian work-life balance.
